I’ve been selected for the Eleanor Taylor Bland award!

I am honored to announce that my novel, The Shadow Sister, has been honored as a runner-up for the 2021 Eleanor Taylor Bland Award from Sisters in Crime!

From their website:

The Eleanor Taylor Bland Crime Fiction Writers of Color Award is an annual grant of $2,000 for an emerging writer of color.

This grant is intended to support the recipient in crime fiction writing and career development activities. The grantee may choose to use the grant for activities that include workshops, seminars, conferences, and retreats, online courses, and research activities required for completion of the work.

As a runner up I receive a year-long subscription to Sisters in Crime and its online “Guppy'' chapter for beginning writers and I’m listed in the official press release, linked here. I am beyond honored that the national board for SIC saw something worthy of notice in my writing. I am so grateful and excited to celebrate with the other winners.
