I come from a background of extreme poverty and am currently facing homelessness for the third time.

Everything I do is done with the intent to provide stability and security for my family.

Ways to help financially:

Direct Donation

Donate directly through the link above or by:

Buying me a Ko-Fi or donating through PayPal.

Venmo: @Lily-Meade-1

Cashapp: $lilymeade (the last four of my phone number is 9897 if it asks)

Food Budget

You can help us directly with food by buying WinCo or Walmart gift-cards. Those are our closest and cheapest grocery stores.

The best email to use would be lilymeadebooks(at)gmail(dot)com

Hygiene Budget

We are paying $40 a month for shower access at LA Fitness. They also offer gift cards if you’d like to help the hygiene budget.

Amazon Wishlist

I made a wishlist of items that would help ease our transition. Things like insect repellent, dog and human first aid kits, shower shoes and travel hygiene items to take to the gym. It’s organized in order of cheapest to most expensive.

More ways to support me & my family:

Purchase and/or share my novel with others. This does not bring me immediate income, but sales and the growth of my author career are my best bet for long-term financial stability.

Share my speaking agency profile with libraries, schools, or other literary event planners to consider booking me. I’m trying to make speaking engagements and writing workshops a stronger source of income.

Shop our family business, Laurie Makes. We offer custom embroidered goods like bookmarks and ornaments. Each order is sewn by my 67yo asthmatic mother.

Become a Patron

The most helpful, consistent, long-term way to help me is to become a patron of mine on Patreon. I have multiple options, starting as low as $1 a month (and annual payment options that give you two months free!).
